View some works for this year's auction

Preparations for the annual 9x5 art auction are underway in the Creative Industries program at ECU's South West Campus (Bunbury). This major fundraising event contributed significantly to staging the third year Visual Arts students graduation exhibition usually held at the Bunbury Regional Art Gallery. Artist from throughout the southwest, current ECU students and staff as well as alumni donate 9x5 pieces of their work to raise money for the graduating students' show. The art auction will be held on Wednesday 17 August at midday at the ECU South West Campus. The public is welcome to attend and participate in the bidding. ECU staff will have the opportunity to place bids online before the auction.

Submit pieces for the auction
Every piece submitted will be auctioned. If you would like to submit a 9x5 piece, please submit your work dry and labeled with the following information: name, contact details, media and title of work. Pieces should be submitted by 1 August.

Works can be delivered to Building 2 Art Studios or Campus Reception in Building 1. For more information about the auction, please contact Anna on 043 190 759.

Terms and Conditions

By emailing a bid to us you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions:

1. You will enter into the field the maximum bid you wish to make. On the day of the auction (17 August), a proxy will bid on your behalf, increasing your bid in $2 increments until you win the auction or are outbid.
2. You will be advised if you win the auction. You will not be advised if you do not win the auction.
3. If you win the auction you will be emailed to request payment. You will be advised of payment arrangements. Credit cards will not be accepted. Payment must be made by cash, money order or cheque. Payment must be made within 7 working days of being advisement that the auction has been won. If payment is not received within that time, the piece may be sold to the second bidder.
4. The artwork will be shipped to you when payment has been received.
5. Management of the auction is handled by staff and students from the Creative Industries Visual Arts Program. Their decisions are final in regards to auction matters.
