Centre for Sustainable Regional Futures.
The Centre for Sustainable Regional Futures is based at Edith Cowan University's South West Campus (Bunbury), Western Australia and is part of the Faculty of Regional Professional Studies and the wider educational precinct that includes the modern South West Health Campus and South West College. Together these institutions service one of the fastest growing regional areas in Australia.
TheCentre specialises in interdisciplinary research relevant to regional Australia, especially the south west. Our major interests are focused in the regional and rural areas of Western Australia, with special reference to community capacity building.
One aim of CSRF is to promote large collaborative research teams, but we also seek to support early career researchers so that they may play an active role in the future of the Centre. In this way we can work to maintain our own sustainability. For this reason, we are keen to provide support and to “mentor” early career researchers, providing them with feedback, support and advice on proposals and projects, and information pertinent to research.
