Lecturing staff will be checking off class lists in the upcoming week
Please ensure your study timetable correctly reflects the classes you are attending. Your study timetable is available in SIMO. After logging in click on the "study timetable" link on the left hand side. If you cannot see your units or you see a message saying "Warning Please Select Activities" then you have not enrolled properly and you need to contact Student Central as soon as possible via phone on 9780 7856 or via email student.central.bu@ecu.edu.au

Financial Penalty date is fast approaching
Please ensure that you withdraw from any units that you no longer wish to undertake in Semester 1, 2010. Financial liability - is incurred on census date for each academic period, so you will incur the cost for the units that you are enrolled in as at census date (31st March) for the relevant period (Semester 1, 2010). If you are enrolled into another teaching period please visit the Withdrawal Dates website to ensure you are aware of your financial penalty dates: http://intranet.ecu.edu.au/student/my-studies/withdrawal-dates

Lost/Found Property
Lost property, if found, should be handed over to Student Central during normal hours or Security personnel after hours. All lost property handed to security is taken to Student Central in Building 1, where it is safely kept for 3 months until it is collected by the owner. Student Central can also take your details if you have lost something on campus and will notify you if it has been handed in.

Express your interest in part-time paid work on campus
Expressions of interest are called for the part-time position of ECU-SW Sport & Recreation Officer for 2010. Applications should include a CV of relevant experience and information and should be addressed to The Dean’s Office, ECU South West; PO Box 1712 Bunbury WA 6231. The Sport and Recreation Officer is responsible for assisting in the development of sport, recreation and cultural activities on the South West (Bunbury) campus of ECU, reporting on a monthly basis to the Sports and Recreation Advisory Committee. The position is part time for approximately twenty hours per week.
The Sport and Activities Officer will:
- Provide quality and fun on-campus lunchtime sporting competitions and activities and ensure adequate participation rates are maintained throughout the year;
- Coordinate and promote South West (Bunbury) students to enter the Australian University Games sporting competitions;
- Assist in the formation of clubs on campus;
- Anticipate and respond to current and future student and staff needs through feedback reporting mechanisms;
- Provide a high level of customer service for all events and activities organised by the incumbent;
- Ensure risk management procedures and policies are in place and adhered too for all events and activities organised by the incumbent;
- Report and take direction from the Sports and Recreation Advisory Committee
