Trevor Blackburn has worked significantly with the long term unemployed, homelessness and in various management roles prior to obtaining his social work degree. As a social worker, Trevor has practice experience working within child protection, mental health, domestic violence, forensic social work, asylum seekers, grief, loss and bereavement, family and children’s services and counselling. Trevor has also gained experience in conducting psychotherapeutic groups.
Trevor is passionate about rural, regional and remote practice having first-hand experience working in the remote areas of northern Scotland, the rural areas of southern England and in regional WA. Trevor’s practice interests include, men in relationships, grief and loss, domestic violence and community development.
