Surf Science Student JennyPlease relate your views and experience on applying, enrolling and getting oriented into the course. "Having people around with the same interests in the same boat as you was helpful in settling in and getting uni life sorted." Relate your views on the course itself: the units in the course, what you think about the content, lecturing staff, facilities and activities. "Yeah, content is really good. Because the topics are so broad there is always an opportunity to work with your strenghs and weaknesses. The lecturers are really approachable, and the new shaping bays rock!." How does it feel to be in a course full of surf enthusiasts? "Yeah. Pretty sick. It is kinda weird being around so many people with the same love of the ocean. It's the big piss-up." What elements of the course and/or campus experience would you most recommend to a prospective surf science student? "Getting involved for sure - surf trips, field trips, pub trips... it is all set out for you if you want it. The shaping bays and the stuff are pretty professional, it is a good kickstart." What is the best part of the program? "Learning about the ocean, the sport and all that goes with it .. and the surfing." What is your biggest challenge in the program? "Heaps of maths and physics to get my head around." As prospective students are going to be reading your comments, what advice would you give a prospective student considering SST? "Get into it! "
